Prairie Breeze Cheddar Tasting at Lucys Whey in Chelsea Market

Part of the pleasure of sourcing from American artisan cheesemakers is getting to know the people behind the products. According to Milton Creamery, "its all about family and trust." This Saturday, February 20th, Lucy's Whey in Chelsea Market is pleased to host Rufus Musser, who will be traveling from Milton Creamery in Milton, Iowa to present and sample their marvelous Prairie Breeze Cheddar.

Mennonite cheesemakers, rBST-free milk from hand-milked, seasonally-grazed cows and vegetarian rennet are a few reasons that make the
sustainably produced Prairie Breeze Cheddar so exceptional.

And delicious! A sweeter, creamy, more continental expression of Cheddar...Prairie Breeze is full flavored, nutty and full of crunchy tyrosine crystals. A great melter and sandwich cheese that adores fruit condiments and chutneys.
